National Museum Planetarium

The good news is the National Museum Planetarium right beside Rizal Park has just been upgraded to be better than ever! Catch full-dome shows thanks to the Planetarium’s upgraded projector system – all day. There are 5 shows starting at 9AM from Tuesday to Saturday, and 2 shows starting at 10AM on Sundays. The museum is closed on Mondays. For the rest of May, entrance to the Planetarium is free of charge so don’t waste any time!

Cinematheque Center Manila

For a barkada of cinephiles, head on over to Ermita for a movie marathon you won’t soon forget. Cinematheque Center Manila is a screening venue for both local and foreign indie films and art pieces. Every visit renders a new experience that you won’t find anywhere else thanks to the cinematheque’s unique collection. Now, Tweedle Book Café isn’t really the kind of place where you hang out and talk. It’s more of a quiet space if your barkada of bookworms want to be together, but also in your own worlds. While relishing your reads, you can also enjoy their coffee and comfort food. It’s basically like a library but with the awesome twist of yummy bites – conducive to even longer hours of burying your face in a great story.

Mystery Manila

If you’re a group of 2-6 and love your riddles and puzzles, come to Mystery Manila for an unforgettable mental challenge. They have different rooms with different themes, each with their mysteries that you and the gang have to solve within 60 minutes. If you’re successful, you can win a variety of prizes; and if you don’t, you can get a discount if you visit the same room next time. Mystery Manila has branches in Libis, Ayala Malls the 30th, Century City Mall, and Jupiter Street.

Geek Fight! Trivia Night

For the ultimate geek fest, battle it out with other geeky barkadas in Geek Fight! Trivia Night. If you and your pals are hoarders of information and think you might know it all (or at least most of it), come by the monthly trivia showdown and show the world what you’ve got. Each month has different themes so you can even brush up on your knowledge before the big day. Though it’s most commonly done in Splice Resto Bar in Greenfield District, Geek Fight! Trivia Night changes venues from time to time so make sure to check their Facebook page in advance.
