2Japanese Design Today 100

After traveling from different countries, the Japanese Design Today Exhibit is now in the Philippines to showcase their contemporary Japanese design. The event is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila (MET) and will run for about two weeks to feature curated Japanese products like Issey Miyake’s No. 1 Dress, and the stylish, electrically-assisted bicycle with a child seat, to name a few. More than displaying their creativity, two dialogues, including “Japanese Design Today: Unique and Evolving” by Hiroshi Kashiwagi and “Design for Disaster” by Keiji Ashizawa, are scheduled to further help attendees understand their culture.
