Rush Hour #4: Vive la MSO
Let the music of the Manila Symphony Orchestra soothe your ears and enliven your hearts as the second half of the Rush Hour Concerts begins. With renowned Paris-based guest conductor Marlon Chen, listen as MSO performs pieces by Henryk Wieniawski, Ernest Chausson, and Marcel Ravel. This includes the MSO’s maiden performance of Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, a playful symphony of five movements each representing a short story. Decorated Singaporean violinist Jun Hong Loh will also lend his renowned string stylings, making for a truly rare and memorable night.
Ice Cream: Basics 1
This class with Chef Patricia Loanzon will teach you the basics of homemade ice cream making as well as a variety of ways to serve it, aside from the usual scoop and serve. Transform your plain ice cream flavor into delectable desserts such as chocolate tiramisu, banana cream pie, mint chocolate chip ice cream cookies, black forest bonbons and frozen profiteroles, with bonus sauce recipes to boot! This is a demonstration class where students can participate but please bring your own aprons, hand towels, food containers and cooler.

CineMET and Origami Workshop
As part of the Metropolitan Museum of Manila (MET)’s Artful Saturdays, CineMET will be showing two Anime short films: “Garden of Words” at 11:00AM and “Voice of a Distant Star” at 1:00PM. There will also be an origami workshop designed for ages 7-13. The class is aligned and in perfect coordination with the MET’s “Japanese Design Today 100” as it upholds an appreciation for the age-old but still very prevalent art of paper folding. Those who will participate can join the free guided tour of the mentioned exhibit starting at 2:00PM.
