Edsel Gomez’s World Fusion Band
Opening for the new concert series “Jazz Sessions” comes a performance featuring Latin jazz pianist, Edsel Gomez. Together with Johnny Gaerlan on bass, Nelson Gonzales on drums, Tusa Montes, Harold Andre Santos and Jacques Rivas Dufort on traditional Filipino and Latin percussive instruments, enjoy a night of jazz music, with a cultural fusion twist! Nelson Gonzales owns Tago Jazz Café which has become a haven for free musical arts expression and has been promoting jazz in the country since 2011. Come see these musical talents as well as some surprise guests!
Jammin’ for Help: The Art of Healing Benefit Concert
Fill your heart with song and laughter, and your soul with love and goodwill. The Art of Healing Benefit Concert will be a night where you are serenaded by the vocal stylistics of local stars, Christian Bautista, Bituin Escalante, and Aiza Seguerra, among others. You can also relish the live entertainment by the Gantimpala Theater Foundation actors Wowie De Guzman, Jojit Lorenzo, and Alfred Ace Urieta. All proceeds from the event will go to the Lymphedema Society of the Philippines.
Photo Collective: Manila
Photography enthusiasts will revel at one of the most awaited photography events of the season! Photo Collective: Manila will feature the industry’s foremost brands where they will be showcasing their products. Join this workshop by Barista Café where you could learn anything and everything about cold coffee drinks. Learn recipes for different milk-based and flavored coffee-based drinks; try new techniques on making frappes, smoothies, and iced coffee; and participate in a lecture on the different flavors and flavor sources of our favorite beans. Instructor Dave Dource has been a latte artist for 7 years, a coffee connoisseur, and current brand ambassador for Breville Coffee.
Science Sleepover: Dino Quest
Take your family (or young-at-heart barkada) on this educational sleepover at The Mind Museum. It’s a night guaranteed to be chock-full of learning, as all things dinosaur are brought under the spotlight. Discover fossils, take part in hands-on activities, and camp under T-rex Stan during this dino-themed camping sleepover. Inspiration Got Us Started, Passion Keeps Us Going
Hosted by Ayala Museum in partnership with CNN Philippines Life and Avida, this free event is an ode to inspiration, creativity, passion and the culture and society it fuels. Visit Ayala Museum for free and explore its permanent exhibitions featuring pre-colonial gold, indigenous textiles, and Asian trade ceramics among others. Also featured are ever-evolving exhibitions such as Object Travelogue/Dialogue which includes objects from the Ayala Museum that have been part of landmark exhibitions the world over; Sanso: Setting the Stage, which highlights the works of world-renowned Filipino painter, scenographer, and costume designer Juvenal Sanso; and a collaborative exhibition by Viva Manila and the Philippine Lego Users Group. Talks by photographer BJ Pascual and ‘Heneral Luna’ director Jerrold Tarog, as well as performances by Ballet Philippines and Manila Symphony Orchestra will keep the atmosphere filled with creativity, inspiration, and passion.

AKF’S Run FUR Life – A Fundraising Bubble Fun Run for the Rescued Dogs
Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) has made its advocacy to focus on rescuing slaughter-bound dogs and eliminate dog meat trade in the country. One of their efforts has resulted into the organization of a bubble fun run where humans and their dogs can run while spontaneous bursts of soap bubbles cover selected race tracks. Proceeds from the event will go toward the rehabilitation and care for the rescued dogs. Join alone or run with your furry friend while supporting a great cause!
Wadough’s Workshop Series: Piece of Cake

40th National Milo Marathon
For the 40th year, Milo brings its national marathon to hardcore runners and newbie enthusiasts alike. The Manila elimination leg has 5 categories: 3k, 5k, 10k, a half marathon at 21k, and the full 42k marathon. Finishers within the cut-off time of the 21k and 42k runs will receive a medal, finisher’s shirt, and loot bag. Cash prizes also await record breakers of the 2:15:00 invisible time barrier, the men’s course record held by Eduardo Buenavista, and the women’s course record held by Mary Joy Tabal.
