Launched in 2015 by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and chef Alain Ducasse is a gastronomic experience that will highlight French cuisine at its finest. This year, 11 chefs from 10 restaurants in the Philippines will join 1,000 others from all over the world to celebrate France through its culinary tradition of serving high quality dishes. Among the 10 restaurants are: Bizu Patisserie & Bistro, Champetre Boutique & Restaurant and for the first time, Cebu based La Maison Rose – The Pink Restaurant. Whisky AppreciationFlights of Liquid Gold: Japanese Whisky Appreciation

Catch the third installment of the Whisky Appreciation Night series as they present a selection of Japanese whiskies. There will be a class and tasting presentation from Gerald Savigny, an accredited wine and spirits educator. The Japanese whiskies that will be available for tasting include: Mars Iwai, Hibiki 12 year old and Ichiro’s Malt Double Distilleries.

Learn how to brew your own cup of joe and turn it into a masterpiece. Barista Café, together with Shophouse Cofee Co., will host an intensive 2-day workshop. On the first day, brewing methods and coffee tasting of single origin beans from Brazil, Ethiopia and Benguet will be covered. Proper steaming and pouring for latte art will be tackled on the second day. Dave Dource will be the instructor, who has 7 years of latte art and coffee experience as well as training from the American Barista & Coffee School in Portland. Fee includes a starter brew kit: Hario v60, paper filters and a pack of specialty beans.

classical guitarThree, Two, One, Arai: An Afternoon of Classical and Contemporary Guitar

 A performance organized by the Independent Philippine Art Ventures, Inc., will introduce three guitar artists from Japan. One of the featured artists is Tomonori Arai, who has been playing the guitar since he was six years old and has won numerous prizes at several guitar competitions in Europe. Eisei Tanigawa and Takashi Endo both make up “Duo Trussardi”. They studied classical guitar under Tomonori Arai but eventually developed a love for Brazilian music and have since then played as a duo.

Support our local film industry as a spectacle presents the best in Filipino cinematography. There will be nine feature –length films, five documentaries, five TV series, eleven short features, five online contents and one mobile content competing in the festival. Watch films such as “Ang Taba Ko Kasi” starring Cai Cortez, “Buhay Habangbuhay” with Iza Calzado and short features like “Katok” which chronicles the first day of twelve-year old Jepoy as a beggar.
