01 Korean Film Fest2016 Korean Film Festival in Manila

Koren film lovers will take great delight in this 4-day Korean Film Festival,  featuring movie genres ranging from rom-com to arthouse delights. The Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines will be showing 5 popular Korean movies from 2012 to 2015. These films are about sacrifice, love, truth, and success as this year’s festival revolves around the theme “Strong Hearts.” You can choose to watch any or all of these movies in the film festival: How to Use Guys with Secret Tips, The Suspect, Confession of Murder, The Beauty Inside, Ode to My Father. All films have English subtitles.

Wanderlust: A Pop-Up Bazaar

05 Japan he YokosoEnderun Culinary Series: Japan he Yokoso Food Series

Have you always wanted to learn how to cook Japanese food? Don’t Nori, be happy because this five-day short course will teach you the fine art of Japanese cuisine. Master the art of Donburi on the first day as you will make Tonkatsu, Katsudon, Oyakodon, Tori Teri Don, and Chicken Teriyaki. Fry-day is for the second session, with tempura dishes in the menu. It gets more interesting as it progresses with Yakimono/Teppan on the third session, Sushi and Sashimi on the fourth, and Traditional and Modern Maki on the last day. 09 Help a SeedHelp a SEED! Grow a Seed! Pilot event

With all the natural calamities that confront our planet, we need to take a more proactive stance in saving our environment. Human Nature started the Goodness Rising initiative in response to the need for decent homes for families affected by Typhoon Yolanda. This time, it is bringing back Goodness Rising to send students to GK’s School for Experiential and Entrepreneurial Development (SEED). The tree planting activity along Katipunan Avenue is two-pronged as it hopes to care for the environment while raising funds for scholars. Truly, one seed can go a long way.
