There are 20 carefully selected movies from Spain and Latin American countries that you can enjoy watching, including the much-talked about Isla Bonita, this year’s blockbuster movie in Spain. Bring your friends and binge watch on other acclaimed movies from Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela and Chile. Previous ManilArt fairs drew in big crowds, and it has a built a solid following over the years, prompting Philippine Daily Inquirer to call it as a “chief barometer of vibrancy in Philippine visual arts.” In other words, you wanna know what’s cool and new in the local art scene? Go to a ManilArt fair. The longest-running art fair in the country is back for the 8th time, with this year’s theme welcoming the Golden Age of Filipino Art. Over 600 artworks will be showcased from various regions of the country from 33 galleries. There will be exhibitions, lectures, art caravans, guided tours, demonstrations, and workshops at this fair. Cocktails will also be served on Saturday, October 8, starting at 4 PM. You may want to buy your tickets at their website to avoid the long lines.

Organized by Goethe-Institut Philippinen, in partnership with the College of Home Economics of the University of the Philippines, Fast Fashion will open with fashion expert Friederike von Wedel-Parlow and curator Dr. Claudia Banz at the helm. Prominent fashion designers in the country and from Germany will showcase their works through a fashion show, with the music of Tarsius as accompaniment. One of the highlights of this exhibit is the feature on green alternatives to fashion, which will be presented by designers from UP Diliman and ESMOD Berlin (International University of Art for Fashion).
