Taong Putik or “Mud Men”, is a religious event in the town of Aliaga in Nueva Ecija. The festival marks the feast of St. John the Baptist. Locals cover their bodies in vines, coconut and banana leaves and their faces in mud to signify their humility and penance. On the dawn of the festival, they will walk around town to ask for candles which will be used during a mass to be held at 7:00AM. After the mass, they will wash themselves to join in the festivities that will include food, drinks and merry-making. A truly unique experience you wouldn’t want to miss!

U! Happy Events, in partnership with Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid (2KK), will be gathering 200 unfortunate children from Payatas, Escopa and Sampaloc, with 200 volunteers to Enchanted Kingdom. Fundraising for the event will go towards 2KK programs which include scholarships and formation sessions to the children of these depressed areas. Ticket fee includes transportation, entrance to the theme park, a customized shirt and meals. Meet up is at Saint Pedro Poveda College, Ortigas.
